Also ich nutze WebDav eigentlich nie, daher kann ich Dir da nicht
wirklich weiterhelfen. Per FTP hatte ich bisher keine Probleme. Die
hochgeladenen Bilder werden als ATFile angelegt, genauso als würdest
Du sie direkt im Plone anlegen.
Die Konfiguration im buildout sieht z.B. folgendermaßen aus:

...
zope-conf-additional =
<ftp-server>
address 8021
</ftp-server>
