Probier, ob Du den Storage von der Commandline aus packen kannst.
In modernen Zope Versionen geht dies via

ajung@suxmac2:/tmp/abc bin/zopectl debug

Starting debugger (the name "app" is bound to the top-level Zope object)

Keine Ahnung wie man das bei alten Zope Version machen kann.
Wahrscheinlich ähnlich. Zur Not häng den Code in eine externe Methode.
