Open Door discussions about the Foundation

Everyone:

The formation of the Plone foundation has been a good step forward for
Plone but I know that many people have questions about what the
foundation will do, how it will operate, and what next steps are.

To help address these questions, Paul Everitt and I will be hosting
community-wide "Open Door" sessions on the foundation. Our goals is to
be able to explain the history of the foundation, and answer any
questions we can about the role and future of it, too.

Neither Paul nor I are on the board of the foundation, so we won't be
able to give any absolute answers, and these chats aren't voting
sessions or membership meetings, so we won't be deciding anything
directly. However, they will be a good chance for us to meet together
and get out into the open any questions. 

We have two of these scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday:

  - 9:00am EST. That's 15:00 CEST in Paris.

  - 2:00pm EST. That's 20:00 CEST in Paris.

I hope these are workable times; I've tried to pick things that won't
make me get up too early or Paul stay up too late, while still trying
to get as much of the community to be able to join us.

We expect these will last about an hour; feel free to drop in anytime
during the open doors to chat or listen in.

If you can't make these times, I'll post an IRC log on the foundation
site at http://plone.org/foundation.

If you have questions about the sessions, or want to suggest additional
schedule times, please let me know.
