Dear Plone community members, The Plone community has recently chosen Budapest as the location for Plone Conference 2009. As organizers of the competing Barcelona proposal, we would like to congratulate the Budapest team for their success. We are sure they will deliver a great conference! We are happy that you have given us the opportunity to submit our proposal for Barcelona. We are pleased with the 43% votes in favour of Barcelona, and have to give credits to a voting process that has evolved in a positive way. Given the considerable level of support for our project, we feel encouraged to offer an even better and more innovative proposal for a Plone conference 2010 in Barcelona! Besides these long-term plans, we feel that there is still enough room for organising a smaller Plone symposium or conference in Barcelona in the near future, and will keep you informed about our ideas.
