Good idea, thanks for the hint.

I think I could even get one step further and might try to use my 
Zope 3 relations stuff with my Plone/Archetypes projects, so I'd 
have to provide some bridging code and perhaps even a migration.

(Please note that I won't give any timescale for this yet ;-))
