problem using mechanoid with plone...

Hi,

I am building some mechanoid
http://python.org/pypi/mechanoid scripts to
help me in managing my plone site. But I am having a
problem in the script
that creates folders, and I am assuming that I will
have a similar problem
in other cases too.

The problem is as follows:
- mechanoid collapses all white space, including new
lines into a single
space.
- when you add a folder, the form that appears has two
hidden fields
"immediatelyAddableTypes" and "locallyAllowedTypes"
that have multiple
values that are separated by newlines (these values
can have spaces in
them)
- when mecahnoid submits this form it collapses those
newlines and plonce
gets confused and does not create the folder

Now I cannot pinpoint whose problem it is, is it
mechanoid, plone,
archetypes, or who exactly?!

I tried to change plone (archetypes?!) to surround
those values by single
quotes but could not find where they are split later.
I tried to change mechanoid to not collapse spaces,
but this looked like
rewriting mechanoid from scratch.

Any ideas... do you have any better approach for this?
