It's the most commonly used acronym for ArchGenXML, which in itself is (a) legacy and (b) a meaningless name. So calling a new, different product AGX will create so much confusion with existing documentation, mailing list posts and perceptions for everyone but the ultra geeks at the core who can be bothered to follow all the name changes. genesis is new, unique, relevant and catchy. Come up with something completely different if you want, but AGX is sure as hell shouldn't be.
