Hi. I have been working on CMF2.0/2.1 support on the Archipelago sprint. The only area where I could not get this working is indeed the FTI creation. From what I have seen so far, the only sensible option for Plone 3.0 / Archetypes 1.5 will be to support FTI creation only through GenericSetup profiles. All the current magic (like installTypes) in Archetypes (as well as in ATContentTypes and CMFDynamicViewFTI) is basically broken. I'm going to look into this further, but would appreciate any help from people that either now GenericSetup or the current Archetypes approach. Especially I have no clear idea how to sanely handle the ATCT migration which takes place as part of Plone 2.1. The current code is not going to work in CMF2.0 :( Also some hints for how-to create extension profiles for a product which will replace the installTypes machinery are most welcome ;) Hanno Rocky Burt wrote: > On Mon, 2006-01-05 at 10:35 +0200, Wichert Akkerman wrote: >> Is anyone working on adding GenericSetup support to Archetypes? > > I've not heard of anyone.
