Obj. creation & portal_factory in AT1.5 & Plone 3 and onwards?

Hello,

are there any plans to switch to a "normal" object creation mechanism, 
ie. one that would not require precreation of objects, whether directly 
in ZODB or temporarily in REQUEST by portal_factory? I remember reading 
something about this in the past - does the "Fate" project address the 
issue?

Upon superficial check, I did not find any hints of any major changes 
related to this, neither in Plone trunk (=3.0) nor AT trunk (=1.5) ...?
