Yes it does, but it's saner in the sense that it doesn't try to fake
permissions or hierarchy, and never leaves turds in the catalog.

That's not a real answer. It does not provide many of the features
that Archetypes provides. In fact, if you are willing to drop *some*
but not *all* the features at object creation (like full-object
validation), then the branch I'm working on for Fate (enfold-cleanup
branch) does provide a reasonable mid-term solution.
