Re: again: Mini-Sprint in Rome

though I'm very busy with finishing exams, ticle causes me headaches ;-)
I do not really find the time that would be necessary to make ticle and the
goals staying behind it growing. But here a few words about ticle and the
sprint:

Sebastian gave a very good introduction and even a little specification
concerning the ticle engine and the goals we want to reach. What is ticle=
 for me?

+ RelationEngine: Like the Archetype.ReferenceEngine I developed an engine
  that deals with the Relations between objects. It does not differ very=
 much from the
  ReferenceEngine and if that would be the only goal we had in mind=
 developing ticle
  then there would be no use of it. The ReferenceEngine does the work and
  does it well. But what makes ticle a project running independently from=
 the Archetypes?

+ First of all the main part of ticle will not be the ReferenceEngine! The
main part'll consist of the so called SemanticsManager (ConstraintManager).=
 That part of the
engine manages types of links and makes it possible to work with complex=
 (hierarchial)
type definitions. Read Sebastians great essay to gain a deeper insight into=
 it. It's a good (surely not the
only) way to manage such things as Dynamic Metadata or Complex Adaptable=
 Workflow Schemes...

+ The other part will be the Storage of objects not into different
physical places but on one place. That is also often referred to as=
 PlacelessContent.

+ And we want to have standarized import / export mechanisms that makes it
possible to exchange arbitrary data between different systems using=
 standards (e.g: LOM,...).
The ArchGenXML package has started to go that way.

I've started the integration into Plone using Archetypes but it is fairly
incomplete. Sebastian is actually working on the SemanticsManager. I'll not=
 make any timelines anymore,
because I unfortuneately do not have actually much time working on ticle.=
 Studies are eating me up and in my sparse free
time I've to program for people giving me money that gives me the=
 possibility to get my breakfast ;-)

If people are really interested in having some of the Features ticle aims=
 to have in future, than I would suggest
to make a short brainstorming at the sprint with all the folk at the snow=
 sprint in order to have a very clear
idea about what people want. For my person I can say that I've an idea what=
 I want from ticle, but
I've no time to make my dreams come true...
Perhaps also some others are interested in making their dreams come true?=
 ;-) 

About the Sprint: Unfortunately I couldn't convince my prof to give me
another chance to get my credit points and so I'm having two practical=
 trainings that prevent me from coming to the
sprint. For the rome-after-snow-sprint-event here my dates: 
   from 7th until 19th of Feb.: General BioInformatics course
   from 23th of Feb until 26 of March: Sequence analysis

After that I've some free time until the 18th of April. That would be the=
 only chance for me participating at an event.
I couldn't get these dates earlier, because my prof has tried to search
for other possibilities for me and it was decided only yesterday, that=
 there's nothing that could help me avoid these dates.

What about summer?
