Dear all, because almost nobody seemed to be able to take part in a mini-sprint in the second half of February, I would now suggest the first week of March: We could start between Friday, Febr. 27 - Monday, Mar 1. It should not last longer than a week. The target is to extend the ticle version that will be the result of the Snow-Sprint in order to create the framework for web databases we call ZUCCARO: The idea is to have a set of XML schemas describing classes of objects and their typed relationsships in the form of Ticle's Link Objects (therefore, using Ticle as managing tool for those links). These XML schemas then can be adopted to the special needs of different projects - maybe with graphical tools - and parsed with ArchGenXML to create the whole database structure on the basis of a common Zope/Plone installation. We think that ZUCCARO would be useful for a lot of projects, mainly but not only in the historical and social sciences because it offers all the advantages of Zope and Plone and an easy-to-use possibility of customisation for the needs of special project: for instance, databases on Architecture, old Books, Persons, drawings, manuscripts etc. Greetings from the Eternal City Bernd ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by EclipseCon 2004 Premiere Conference on Open Tools Development and Integration See the breadth of Eclipse activity.
