oh, yes, thats true, but i don't see your names as replacement for this. 
but i haven't got an idea for it right now.

the region change is easily understandable, your naming scheme isn't 
(imo). having "any names" does not describe the function, and is 
therefore not semantic.

thats the reason for a naming scheme :)

no it wouldn't look like that - these ids don't describe the function, 
it's just a numbered id list and makes no sense ;)

truly semantic? why? i think you misunderstood something... #alex 
doesn't reflect anything about the way it is used. semantic means *not* 
detachable from the, in this case, tag, because it wouldn't make sense 
if you have #action-item instead of #portlet-news, because it describes 
a complete different thing.
