trouble in plone

hi,
i'm a new user in Plone..i don't really understand what pole is all about and how to use it. ive visited plone website http://plone.org but it doesn't help me.i also wat to know how to link the main interface which build using dreamweaver to Plone as CMS for the portal. or we can design our own interface using Plone, but how? please help me..thank u
