z-index of left slot in mozilla

Hi there,

can anybody give me a hint how to make the table in the main slot apear 
above the left slot.
Please have look at the attached screenshot.

In Mozilla it looks as on the screenshot. With IE the table in the main 
slot does not overflow the border of the mainslot.
I tried setting the z-index of various elements. No look so far.
