basics of css: it will only apply to img - p is somwhere after 
.documentContent and not only a direct child, img is somewhere inside p, 
even if a span is around it.

it isn't when you know and understand the basics. afaik "designing with 
webstandards" by jefferey zeldman is a book for css newbies. right tom?
