logo behind tabs

Is there a way to sneak a logo behind the tabs.
I can get the logo to "cover up" the tabs and sit on top of them.
But I would like to see my logo in the gaps between them.
Maybe just changing the background color above the tab/myfolder bar would be
helpful.
