Hi everyone,
I'm relatively new to using plone. I've been reading the book by Andy
McKay and using the plone website to find answers. However, I've run
into something I can't figure out what is happening and how to start to
figure it out.
I'm trying to setup a single column site by using a visual-wrapper in
the plonecustom.css. Thus I have the following in my plonecustom.css
body {
background: #a7c7e0;
}
#visual-portal-wrapper {
margin: 1em auto 0 auto;
width: 780px;
}
#portal-top {
background: url(header.jpg) transparent no-repeat;
padding: 117px 0 0 0;
position: relative;
}
But what happens is that the content area tends to be a number of
pixels wider and the nice single column is not showing up in IE5 or
Safari for the Mac. See http://mcbridme.sba.muohio.edu:8300/ to see
the effect I'm talking about.
I've searched the archives for "wrapper" and everything I find
indicates I'm using correct custom css. Any ideas where to start
searching?
Thanks and have a happy holiday season.
Mark
