well there is no real minimum version, we try to keep everything usable 
in any browser (yes even lynx and links - try it ;)).

it looks horrible in 5.0 yeah, but as far as you can edit and view sites 
(use plone) we're not going to change anything for that browser. it's 2 
years old iirc, so i guess thats okay.

if plone is unusable in a browser or in a browser setting, please submit 
a bug at http://plone.org/collector regarding accessibility.

maybe it's possible to visually fix most things for ie 5.0 though, we 
(the ui team) just don't have the time for everything :/ and it'd have 
to use ugly hacks we try to avoid (okay it could work with conditional 
comments too). if someone wants to submit that, it'll definitly go into 
the ui cookbook.
