Hi all,

I've just released plone.app.event 1.0rc1
( https://pypi.python.org/pypi/plone.app.event/1.0rc1 ), plone.event
1.0rc1 ( https://pypi.python.org/pypi/plone.event/1.0rc1 ) and icalendar
3.5 ( https://pypi.python.org/pypi/icalendar/3.5 ).

In the last two months we have deployed plone.app.event for a client who
did quite a lot of end user tests and found some issues - all of them
fixed and tested. plone.app.event has been proved long enough in
different production environments for at least 1.5 years and matured a
lot during this time. There are only a few not-so-critical issues marked
with a 1.0 milestone
( https://github.com/plone/plone.app.event/issues?milestone=1&page=1&state=open ), so that I'm happy to call the current release "Release Candidate 1".

To see, what has changed, visit the changelog included in the Pypi
releases of plone.app.event and plone.event.

If you have some interest in plone.app.event, this is a good time to try
it out, report bugs and better yet - fix them via pull requests.
