I gave zc.buildout 2.1.0 a try some time ago and it worked ok for me.
iElectric told me than that it might be a bit too early, so I went back
to zc.buildout 1.7.1 because I didn't want to spend time on it in case
something goes wrong. What about writing a PLIP for Plone 5?
