Right. FWIW: I agreed with Dylan AND totally share Liz's frustration. A
while back I tried to "brute force" plone.com in to happening. I set
deadlines, encouraged folks to participate (at regular intervals, i.e.
issued annoying reminders), worked a bit with the major players at the time
e.g. Armin.

Ultimately, I gave up because no one (including me) was prepared to push it
through. That's how things work in Plone-land. One person, or a small-ish
group of folks make it happen. If what you want to do is controversial, you
send your idea to the developer list before you do it and wait for feedback.
If enough people "chime in" with positive feedback, then you go ahead and do it.

Anyway, re: plone.com vs. plone.org vs. SEO vs. everything else: I don't
care. I am fine with one site. I am fine with six sites. Martior has
recently scored us a free Rackspace cloud account so we can spin up and down
servers at will for testing, production, whatever.

I don't personally have the time to do anything more than keep band-aids
applied to the current plone.org, but I will hand out servers to anyone
interested in helping make *something* happen.

And finally, let me be very clear-ish: 

- SEO is important
- Everyone's feature requests are important
- Taking pride in our work and presenting something to the world we can all
be proud of is really-really-really important IMHO.

But someone has to do something, and gain consensus from a significant
number of folks to get it done, else plone.org will continue to limp along
for the foreseeable future (which after the last clean up I feel much better
about now, at least.)
