Ideally, plone.app.referencebehavior would register the indexer
adapter for the UID catalog for all objects providing IAttributeUUID,
at least while uid_catalog still lives.  I suspect that making such a
change would be harmless, see:

For DX-.DX relations, use portal_catalog UID index for back-refs
query.  For AT->DX relations, use referenceable behavior.  IMHO,
whether or not you choose to do the latter should not ideally affect
whether the item is indexed in uid_catalog (I think everything that
can have a UID should be indexed in it, until it is removed from
Plone).
