Plone Foundation Board Election: Important Dates

Greetings Plone Folks!

The seven-member Plone Foundation Board of Directors is elected annually.
Board terms are one year. Here are the dates to keep in mind for this
year's board election:

September 12th, 20:00 UTC: A open hangout with the Plone Board. We'll have
an "on the air" hangout to talk about the kind of business the board does
and what's involved in being a board member. Got an interest in the board,
but don't know what's involved? Don't miss this hangout! Watch the lists
for the hangout link.

September 13th: Nominations open. All it takes to run for the board is to
be nominated by two Plone Foundation
members<https://plone.org/foundation/members>.
Full procedure will be announced at this time. (Note that the membership
list is actually a bit larger than what's shown at this moment, as
Foundation Members who have not yet renewed their membership are not
listed.)

September 30th: Foundation Members must renew their membership by this day
if they wish to be able to vote in the board election.

October 1st: Nominations close at end of day in Brasília.

October 2nd: Voting begins and will continue until mid-day Friday (in
Brasília). Votes may be cast by emailing or contacting the election judges
in person. Procedure will be published on opening of the voting.

October 2nd, 6pm BRT (UTC-3): Annual Business Meeting of the Plone
Foundation. Everyone is welcome to attend; PF members may bring business to
the membership. The meeting will be at the conference venue.

October 4th, vote closes; results announced shortly thereafter. Voting will
probably close at noon BRT (UTC-3), though that may be changed depending on
what the judges can accommodate.
