This is for future reference and google-ability ;)

We're running Plone 4.3.1 (using the installer) on a Windows server. We
noticed the following error when using Chameleon. This happens because of
the error in lib/ast.py that assumes the node has an _attributes attribute.

Error Type: PTRuntimeError
Error Value: ['Compilation failed', "exceptions.AttributeError: 'alias'
object has no attribute '_attributes'"]

This is fixed in 2008 according to
http://grokbase.com/t/python/python-bugs-list/08a7r194q7/issue4067-ast-fix-missing-locations-breaks-if-node-doesnt-have-attributes-variable

Updating the Python version should fix this, or apply
http://bugs.python.org/file11730/ast.diff
