Websocket Installation

I want my Plone(4.3.1) application to communicate to other applications. Is there any provision to do this ?
I was trying to install Web socket client Add-on but it doesn't populate in the add-on list in spite of being installed successfully. I have to establish connectivity.
Need to know if it is already implemented?
