That's great, what kind of projects interest you? I guess you saw last 
year's ideas list – there will be some changes but I'd be interested 
what kind of thing attracted you.

As for bugs for getting started, the first thing to do is to get a 
development environment working. I'd recommend using the existing 
vagrant file https://github.com/plone/plonedev.vagrant but you can also 
install directly by following the developer documentation.

As for bugs, https://dev.plone.org/ticket/12969 might be a good start?

is a good list.
