Hi, I had looked at the Project Ideas being proposed by you and other mentors/developers here http://plone.org/events/summer-of-code/2014/ideas-list I found two of the ideas very appealing to work as a prospective student on those ideas as part of the upcoming Google Summer of Code 2014. [1] Improved Text Transforms [2] Automatic theme conversion to a diazo theme. The skills needed in these project matches with my desired skills and I would like to work on one of these ideas as part of Gsoc 2014. Now I would like to discuss these ideas in detail with the mentors. - mentor for the first Idea is not mentioned. Who would be the possible mentor for that project. *Improved Text Transforms *Some work has been done in the previous Gsoc. Work that needs to be done as mentioned is to integrate the previous work done into Plone and conversion of existing OOTB transforms. Adding of new transforms like syntax highlighting and Latex. I had looked at the source code of plone.tranforms present on the github and got acquainted to start working. Could you Please guide me where shall I start working on this as the first step and make some contribution to the source code. *Automatic theme conversion to a diazo theme* Work could be done to transform the old sites "theme" into an installable Diazo theme package as part of the same content migration process. This would result in a new plone site with the same content and theme as the original site. The crawler would have to be modified to also dump a representative page and map the content area and navigation into Diazo rules. I had looked at the source code present on the github. http://github.com/collective/funnelweb https://github.com/collective/transmogrify.webcrawler Since I was not aware of the diazo theme, I had learned about diazo to work on the Plone theme and on this key project idea. http://docs.diazo.org/en/latest/ For this, I would need the help of the mentor (Dylan Jay : mentioned on the ideas list) to start working on this project idea. Since both of the ideas are very appealing for me to work on, finally I would be working on one of these ideas, I would like to seek some help in deciding the final project idea most suitable for Plone improvements for me to work on as a prospective student in the upcoming Google Summer of Code 2014.
