Update: What I outlined in my previous mail wasn't entirely true. Since the merge of the "z3c.form portlets" pull-request ( https://github.com/plone/plone.app.event/pull/135 ), plone.app.event 1.2.x isn't compatible with Plone 4.x anymore. plone.app.event 1.1.x isn't compatible with plone.app.widgets. This leaves us with the situation, that we don't have any Plone 4.x compatible version of plone.app.event, which also supports plone.app.widgets. To fix this we have to rewrite the history, and I propose the following: * Fork off a plone.app.event 1.3.x branch, aiming for Plone 5. I hope it isn't used much, because there is plone.app.event 2.0, which should be used instead. But still, the 1.3.x branch would then include a separate timezone field and Archetypes support, which might be useful for some. * Reverting the merges of "z3c.form portlets" (#135) and "Remove dt dl dd" (#146). * Removing releases after 1.2.0 from pypi and release a new 1.2.1 version of plone.app.event. (I know, this should never be done. but plone.app.event 1.2.x is useless at the moment anyways) * Release of a 1.3 version of plone.app.event for those who really need it.
