Re: We need a canonical away to create plone packages with mr.bob

I was wondering exactly about the same thing and did not reach a decision.

more pros:
- maintaining multiple templates takes time&effort we don't have.
- maintaining one template

more cons:
- Things start to get a little complicated in mr.bob if you want conditional files and skip questions.
- The nested template is effectively a complete duplicate of the normal template with some variations and has to be manually kept in sync with it.

I tried to start some sort of hierarchy of questions (i.e. if you want testing you don't get asked about travis and if you don't want a gs-profile most of the question no longer get asked). That can obviously be improved or expanded but I think it's important to have sane default. For now you have to answer only the first five questions and you can press enter for all the others.

Additional features we might want:
Examples:
- example browser-view with template (not using grok)
- example dexterity content with a python schema (since xml-schema based content can be generated ttw)

Theme:
- a more complete example theme (maybe a very simple bootstrap-based theme)
- default css and js resources
- examples for overriding the Plone 5-theme

Test:
- a robot-test
- test using the PLONE_APP_CONTENTTYPES_FIXTURE

...

Among other things you can chose to enable/disable the following features in your package: gs-profile, setuphandler, tests, diazo-theme, nested package, grok. It would be great if some of you might have a look at it.
