What is a nested template with mr.bob?

But couldn't we split the template into two parts:

1) Two or more main skeletons for different depth of namespace packages, 
which would only create setup.py and minimal folder structure with 
__init__.pys.

2) Sub-templates for creating features inside the skeletion created in 
1). pre-question hooks could figure out the package the context (like 
the curren package name) and render-hooks could inject new lines to e.g. 
configure.zcml when required.

ZopeSkel had something like this? Was there issues with it (besides its 
dependencies)?
