Welcome to plone family. First of all just just fill the plone developer
agreement here
https://plone.org/foundation/contributors-agreement/agreement.pdf before
starting contributing to plone. Also go through the different repositories
and try to understand the functionalities of the add-ons and also Plone
core code base. Try to run your Plone instance on you local machine and
install those add-on and check how they function. After that when you
become quite familiar with plone add-on functionalities, then look into the
issue trackers for each repository and try to fix them up. Actually here
you won't find a single code base to work on there are a lot of
repositories to work on so its upto you to which repository you wanna work
and want to contribute in which area.

This may sound quite huge at first but that is required to do and also the
simplest bugs will be updating the docs as there may be few difficulties
you may have faced while setting up plone on you local machine as a lot of
commands may be old and needs updation so its better to start with creating
an issue and then creating a pull requests to the docs and start working
like that way.

Also feel free to ask anything if you face any problem. IRC channel is
#plone.
