Hi mosx86, We've got two installer solutions for OS X: 1) The specialized OS X installer. This is a binary installer with a standard Mac GUI installer. X-Code is not required. It lets you choose target location, single-instance or ZEO, and production or development. 2) The Unified Installer. This is a source install kit, and you must pre-install the X-Code tools on OS X. Basically, it's a batch of sources and an install script. It lets you choose target location, single-instance or ZEO, and production or development. If you wish, you may use a system Python 2.4 (I'd suggest using macports for that) and it will automatically use virtualenv to protect it. Both of these, and every other installer we ship, are buildout-based. All deliver a buildout-equipped installation. I'm not saying that you need to use them. I'm just suggesting that if you're writing a document on OS X installation, you might want to try one or both installers first to get a baseline.
