All I meant to say is that the introduction to that developer manual (the goal of which is to publish on plone.org) is the perfect place to put the reading guide that Alex suggested. The reading guide is a fantastic idea. I think there are many fundamental concepts like object publishing that could provide more coverage for and reading guide would help that. I think providing decent "written" developer documentation is the solution like grok or lxml.
