Panty option fixed ' character in the text. But links are still broken.

One possible culprint could be here:

fixLink() functoin explicitly sets href attribute for   node. Maybe new lxml
versions somehow automatically escape what's being inserted into href,
breaking our links. However, this does not sound right... you probably want
to use : and # charcaters in links, unescaped.
