first of all, thanks for your interest in plone and informing us about your
project.

we are trying to concentrate the plone <-> elearning activities in the
eduplone initiative. the initiative was founded last week at the educaional
sprint in paderborn.
we plan to go public with our website next week. in meanwhile some
information:

eduplone consists of several plone companies, specialised in different areas
(bluedynamics GmbH, jensquadrat, Opensource.Agentur, solution2u.net gmbh,
tomcom GmbH, ZopeWorks NL). the initiative is led by Georg Pleger
(OpenSource.Agentur) and Jodok Batlogg (solution2u.net gmbh).

eduplone = plone + standards (IMS) + methodology

- we'll provide products (plone customized for e-learning) and services
(consulting, support, customization,...)
- all of our products will be GPLed

we have currently projects running for children at the age of 9 years
(Tiroler Bildunsserver, Wiener Bildungsserver, Pädagogisches Institut
Tirol), projects in colleges but also some universities and adult education
organisations that are using our solutions.

that's a quite small timeframe, details need to be negotiated.
