At the moment we are doing our syllabus using parallell text fields, and storing them in the database as separate content, but we then have a syncronisation problem, i.e if the contents in one language changes, the changes may not be reflected in the other language, etc. At the PEPC2003 conference (http://www.codex-se.org/pepc2003) there was some brief mentioning of the XLIFF format, as a possible element of a solution. http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/tc_home.php?wg_abbrev=xliff The uPortal people are very likely to start using it (it is planned for uPortal 2.2) and it might be valuable to be able to give it a look and evaluate it. In general, has anyone come up with a solid solution for content localisation in Zope/Plone? /dario - -------------------------------------------------------------------- Dario Lopez-Kästen, IT Systems & Services Chalmers University of Tech. ------------------------------------------------------- Enterprise Linux Forum Conference & Expo, June 4-6, 2003, Santa Clara The only event dedicated to issues related to Linux enterprise solutions www.enterpriselinuxforum.com
