Workgroups project - anyone interested?

From what I can see, what I labeled as "Projects" and others labels a
"Workgroups" is something that lots of people have asked for and some
have implemented ad hoc on their own sites.

Is anyone interested in working with me to get a portable implementation
of this single product? A "Workgroups" implementation could serve as a
basis for all parts of an educational intranet, or any other intranet
for that matter. Now that Plone has a working "GRUF", I think
"Workgroups" should be a priority.

What I called "projects" has been implemented in "TeamFolders" for the
BlackRockCity Extranet by Rob Miller. I can not find a demo of this to
see the implementation, but from what they say their "TeamFolders" is
the basic unit of the user interface, they control user access to
content with extended roles, and they are strongly typed, constraining
the allowed types in each folder. 

This seems to be perfect for organising a school intranet, as I
mentioned in my previous post about the Project/Book metaphor. In
"Future Plans" it says that the project is going to be reworked without
ZPatterns and ZClasses.

Does anyone know how to get in contact with the people doing this stuff,
or to get access to the current implementation?

DannyB comments that he has also implemented workgroups with some
similar features, and briefly describes how has done this.

Althouth this is a little different from the previous two
implementations, there could be some useful stuff here.
