I have been beavering away at SCORM development ( well not ... really slothing would be a better description if an animal metaphor has to be used) and now have a functional client side API adaptor and asynchronous posting component. I am now trying to decide an a server side SCO initiator and results recording framework. I have been toying with trying to do something in Plone. I am not all that Plone or CMF literate but have ability to hack my way through Zope and DHTML stuff -- with not pretty but functional results( I have a functional AICC Zope based LMS). The extra layers of obtuseness added by Plone and CMF have always been a mental stumbling block for me from a development point of view but I see the potential power for users so I want to take another run at the issue. Has anybody done any Plone thinking/development/investigation on this issue that they care to share? I am looking for ideas on how to tackle this in Plone. Create a new object/item type that is the results object?
