I hung out with Brent Hendricks (Chief Architect) and  Ross Reedstrom 
(Developer) at OSCOM in Cambridge.  They're quite sharp and the whole 
project seems very well designed. They use RDF and a custom sidebar in 
Mozilla to provide course-specific metadata in conjunction with 
content.  Good use of Creative Commons licensing, too.
