Having trouble in gitub

I was wondering, if there is a good reason not to include ZCatalog 3.0 
(supporting `not` queries) in Plone. Did anyone else tried it? Are there 
any issues or was it simply `forgotten`? 
I think ZODB4 and ZCatalog 3 should be considered shipping with Plone5 
independent of Zope4 (see https://dev.plone.org/ticket/13822). 

We made some short tests and everything seems to look fine (Plone 4.3 
and ZCatalog 3.0.2) right now. 

If it works well we are planing to implement an extension to 
https://github.com/plone/archetypes.querywidget to support `not`-queries
