What about a) showing a dialog box that you need to install XCode before running the ‘installer’, and then just install Python ‘again’? (this is what  install.sh does if you dont know what you are doing anyway ?

As Xcode is in the app-store, most users will be able to install it (?), maybe it is even possible to have a link to it ?
