First I tried sudo -u plone setupSite.py (the postinstall script runs as root inside the installer process on osx) but the installer process hung because it was waiting for a password to be entered for sudo. Then I tried setting the effective-user, but it seems that part of Zope is broken, it would pick up the flag properly but it fails calling initgroups.initgroups (initgroups is a .so).
