Paul Simon comes to mind: " You know the nearer your destination / The more you're slip slidin' away". Simon, before I forget, I really appreciate your help (read: hand-holding). > [[email protected] root]# rpm -Uvh compat-db-4.0.14-2.i386.rpm > warning: compat-db-4.0.14-2.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID > 4f2a6fd2 > error: Failed dependencies: > libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 is needed by compat-db-4.0.14-2 > db4 is needed by (installed) popa3d-0.6.3-5.rh9.swsoft And who knows how many things libstdc++ will need... Argh! Surely someone along the way of testing the Plone 2.0 beta releases installed this on RH9. I mean, it's not *that* old. I know it's been eclipsed by Fedora, but I don't think that FC1 has been around long enough for a production server (or maybe I'm being a bit paranoid?). I'm going attempt to reach this the other way around, by installing Python 2.3.3 (either via SRPM from python.org (which apparently will require building tk-devel, which isn't included in RH9) or the tarball), and then Zope 2.7, and then Plone 2.0. -- Howard Fore, [email protected] "People are crazy and times are strange / I'm locked in tight, I'm out of range / I used to care, but things have changed" Bob Dylan, Things Have Changed On Mar 31, 2004, at 7:39 AM, Simon Eisenmann wrote: > | No, not without db4.1, which isn't available for RH9.
