tarball permissions

Hi all,

I recently wasted a lot of unnecessary time because the default  
permissions on the Plone-2.1.1 directory when unpacking the tarball is:

drwx------  32 limi limi 1056 Nov 19 02:19 Plone-2.1.1

This causes major problems when I drop this somewhere and link to it  
instead of moving the contained directories out of the directory

Couldn't it at least be

drwxr-xr-x  32 limi limi 1056 Nov 19 02:19 Plone-2.1.1

or respect the settings in the user's umask? I don't think we should set  
the permissions here explicitly in any way.
