i've just released beta3 versions of plone.app.linkintegrity as well  
as plone.app.customerize and five.customerize, which contained  
metadata as well.  to be honest i've never checked the tarballs/eggs  
again to see if they would contain cruft like that.  the possibility  
didn't even occur to me -- guess i'm still to new to macs... :)
