You'd definitely want some feedback before proposing the packages for inclusion. You could also set up a source build recipe (https://help.launchpad.net/Packaging/SourceBuilds/Recipes) by registering your SVN branches for mirroring on Launchpad, I think. I'm somewhat interested in learning more about packaging, but time is always an impediment.
