I am from Taiwan. Please note that people from Taiwan in general regard
Taiwan is a distinct political entity to the mainland China. For example,
when dealing with issues about nationality, we strongly prefer "Taiwan" (or
"Taiwan, Republic of China") instead of "Taiwan, province of China" (or
"Taiwan, China").
