What's the use of i18n of interface files?

plone.po contains a lot of strings from interface files, such as
https://github.com/plone/plone.app.theming/blob/master/src/plone/app/theming/interfaces.py.

Why? Interface files are consumed by developers only, never by end users. Or
have I missed something???
