plone.app.async / zc.async instance UUIDs

Trying to better understand this, re: zc.async:

1. Do all queuing instances (e.g. normal zope instances) need a
distinct UUID, or can multiple instances in a setup share one via the
same ZC_ASYNC_UUID environment variable (path)?

2. I presume each/all dispatcher/worker instances need their own
distinct UUID path via ZC_ASYNC_UUID?

Any insight appreciated.
